Miracle

People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle.
But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or thin air, but to walk on earth. Every day we are engaged I’m a miracle which we don’t even recognise: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child – our own two eyes. All is a miracle. ~ Thich Nhat Hanh
[to the loving memory ♡]

And yes, another miracle is that Geoff (featured in the pic) is back to Bali again!

And one more, this week while juice fasting (feasting)
– got a little headache today (coffee withdrawal syndrome) and as quick as the headache started, boom, the headache was already gone. I’m drinking a ton of coconut water to accompany my liquid meals and hey, never under estimate the importance of H2O!

For the coffee lovers out there, like myself,
life’s pretty interesting without my daily cuppa. I am a huge coffee lover usually. I don’t drink bucket loads of it daily, however having that one high quality arabica a day has been such a big part of me for a long time. Therefore just the sheer thought of going for a juice fast/feast knowing that I gotta give up the daily java was honestly a wee bit scary. Fortunately as my coffee consumption was never out of hands really, the withdrawal syndromes will be manageable (trusting the process). Anyhow it’s a form of miracle already that I’m abstaining from my brown liquid love.

One reason why I started this experiment
is that I’ve been quite tired recently. At times feeling almost like depleted of energy. Also have experienced some new aches and pains in my body like sensations of arthritis and a really wickedly acting piriformis with radiating pains down through the leg and also up towards the lower back. If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got. Or something like that.. So some shift needed to take place. The body is intelligent and it speaks for itself big time. Sometimes we are just too busy to listen properly.

So a spring cleaning for the temple of the soul might come handy.
It’s also the start of the Chinese New Year soon and today, as I’m writing this, the Chinese are cleaning their kitchens thoroughly. Starting the new year literally from a clean slate. Love this! I guess in the western cultures, at least in Finland, where I come from, we used to clean our homes spick and span just before Christmas. I fondly remember my mother really going for it. Even as I child I could tell the difference and appreciated the fresh smell in our home. She was a real pro. I don’t know where she got the energy for all that though, on top her full time work, kids, pets, cooking…

Will report more later how this week goes and looking forward to feel & share the possible benefits, changes, shifts that I am so humbly hoping for to experience after this gut cleanse.

Thanks for reading!
